Shoals Water Company routinely monitors for constituents in your drinking water according to Federal and State Laws. We have implemented a wellhead protection program as mandated by the Indiana Department on Environmental Management to protect our groundwater from agricultural chemicals and various contaminants.
More information about contaminants and potential health effects can be obtained by calling the Environmental Protection Agency’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791. We want our valued customers to be informed about their water utility.

Leak Detection: The average home can leak up to 22 per gallons of water a day. The most common source of a leak is a dripping sink or a running toilet. Even a very small leak can add up to a very large bill. If you believe you have a leak you can call our office at (812) 247-2110 and request a leak detector check on your meter.
New Accounts and Transfers: Setting up a new account is very simple. Customers should come to the Town Hall where the Clerk Treasurer’s office will gather all information needed to set up the account.
Minimum Water Bill: Rates per 1,000 gallons:
Water Penalties: Bills for utility service are due by the 10th of each month. After the 10th a disconnect notice is sent. Once service is disconnected due to an unpaid balance the service will be shut off and a lock can be placed on the meter. A fee is charged for reconnection after the bill is paid in full.
Shoals Sewage Company: The Town of Shoals owns wastewater treatment system. The system in operated by the licensed Municipal Utilities Manager.
