The Shoals Catfish Festival

Each year the main event for the Town of Shoals is the Catfish Festival. Held annually by The Lions Club over the 4th of July Holiday, the Festival, which started in 1985, brings a crowd from near and far. A fireworks display is always held on the night of the 4th. Some festival favorite events include the Catfish Festival Parade, a 5K walk/run, a softball and kickball tourney, a bridge fishing contest, cooking and pie making contests, queen contests, a horseshoe tournament, a corn hole tournament and much more. The Festival kicks off on the first night with a benefit auction at the Shoals Volunteer Fire Station. Along with the many events that take place, there is a Flea Market on Main Street that is an ongoing crowd favorite.

The Shoals community extends and invitation to everyone to  come and join the fun and festivities of the Annual Catfish Festival over the 4th of July holiday.
